Christian Education

Christian Education & Youth Ministries

From our smallest members to our tallest members, there is something for everyone at Cape St. Claire UMC. We pride ourselves in excellent Sunday School classes for all ages. Children have hands-on curriculum that is Bible based and fun. Youth and adults have classes based on their specific interests in the Bible.
We use the best available curriculums and cater to the variety of learning styles. We provide opportunities for everyone to learn more about God and Jesus Christ.
Come join us and experience a closer relationship with Christ!
Christian Education for All Ages!
Adult Education
Our understandings of God and faith change as we mature. Adults at Cape St. Claire UMC have opportunities to explore issues of faith and the Bible in Bible Study classes on Sunday mornings during the education hour and during the week. Class offerings are often tailored to the needs of participants. To find out more about current Adult Education classes contact 410-757-4896.

Children, Youth and Adults

Children and Youth at Cape St. Claire have a variety of opportunities to study God’s word, make life-long friends, put their faith into action by helping others, and express their faith through worship.
Education and play begin at birth! Cribbery care (ages 0-3) is provided for our littlest ones during worship.
Sunday school classes are 10:30am in the Education wing. Classes are available for Pre-School and Kindergarteners through Adults. For more information about our Sunday School programs, contact 410-757-4896.
Midweek Program
Our Midweek Program is a growing and vital part of our music and worship ministries. Vocal choirs and chimes for children and youth meet on Wednesdays to rehearse and prepare for worship leadership. Rehearsals begin at 5:30pm for Children's Choir. For more information about children’s and youth choirs, contact Jeanne Garrett at 410-757-4896.
Youth Ministry
Youth in grades 6-12 also have great opportunities and ministries available to them!  Both groups have fellowship opportunities, do mission events and trips, lead worship services, and engage in activities designed to explore, deepen and express their faith. In addition there are yearly ski trips, retreats, lock-ins and all the other great stuff of youth groups!
Confirmation
Confirmation is available for students 7th grade or older. It is taught by the Pastor and begins in January with students being confirmed on Pentecost Sunday (usually late May or early June). Exciting curriculum and activities bring the Bible and Christianity alive in this time of faith exploration. For more information about Confirmation contact the church office at 410-757-4896.
