Outreach and Mission
We are a community of faith that takes seriously the great commission of going out and making disciples. We recognize that making disciples includes physical, emotional, vocational as well as spiritual nurture. Commited to serving the community, and the world beyond, we participate in several mission and outreach programs or events. We invite you to share with us as we follow Jesus' example of loving and serving our neighbors. If you have questions about any of the opportunities listed, please call the church office at 410-757-4896. Put your faith in action...get involved today! ![]() My Brother's Pantry Thank you to everyone who helped out in April with the many tasks and food delivery! Look for more opportunities to help when our turn comes around again! In addition to supporting local food banks, we also collect non-perishable food items on the first Sunday of every month. Your food donations to our own food pantry helps those with immediate needs, especially nearing the end of the month. Please help us keep our own pantry stocked by making it a habit of bringing in a few donations every first Sunday of the month. Donations are welcome anytime during business hours as well! Thank you for caring for your neighbors!
United Methodist Women's Groups have a long and rich history of supporting local and global missions. United Methodist Women reach out in a variety of ways, especially supporting other women and children in all parts of the world. The purpose of UMW is to be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. For more information about how to get involved in UMW, please contact the church office at 410-757-4896. Lighthouse Shelter Periodically during the year our church also supports the Lighthouse Shelter in Annapolis. Food donations for bag lunches and other items are prepared and delivered to the shelter. The Carpenter's Kitchen Supporting the Carpenter's Kitchen soup kitchen with food and conversation is another way we share our love and resources with others in the world. Operating out of Mt. Vernon Place UMC in Baltimore, this soup kitchen serves 250-300 clients each Saturday with the help of many churches throughout the Baltimore-Washington Conference. If you would like to be involved in this ministry and find out when our next day to serve is, please call the church office at 410-757-4896.
